Vera

Principal town and one of the most important commercial centers in the region. The coast, with 6km of beachfront, part of which is reserved for nudism, is at the moment undergoing extensive urban development

Places of interest :- Parish church of La Encarnacion, XVI century. The Padres Minimas convent, XVII century. Bull ring, XIX century. Archaeological and ethnographical museum.

Fiestas :- Carnivals, Dia de la Vieja (March). Cruces de Mayo. Romeria (pilgrimage) for La Virgen de las Huertas (1st weekend of September). Fiestas for the patron, San Cleofas, with bull fights (25th Veptember)

Beaches :- Mar y Cielo, Las Marinas, Pueblo Laguna, Puerto Rey and El Playazo

Handicrafts :- ceramics, iron work, esparto grass weaving, marble cutting

Gastronomy :- traditional dishes. It has some of the best restaurants in the region
